This service is suitable for transporting any data flow compatible with Ethernet, including real-time video/audio IP streaming between different physical sites. The EVPL allows extension of the client’s LAN (LANex), which benefits from the advanced functionalities of Fibrenoire’s IP MPLS Internet backbone.

Fibrenoire’s EVPL (Ethernet Virtual Private Line) service is ideal for the following applications:

• Point-to-point links between two sites for data or voice transmission.

• Point-to-point links between a company’s critical site and a hosting/colocation facility.

• High-capacity point-to-point links (10Mbps up to 10Gbps full-duplex).

Beginning at a guaranteed speed of 10Mbps, the EVPL service is an unequalled solution to support lower-cost rollout of new business initiatives at distant sites.

Easy integration and economic efficiency

The EVPL service is scalable and transparent and easily allows LAN expansion, server infrastructure centralization, data replication and backup, audio/video streaming and other types of Ethernet traffic. The EVPL service integrates easily into the client’s existing network by connecting directly to an RJ-45 port on the equipment already in place, thus avoiding the purchase of additional termination equipment to use this service.

Technological aspect

The EVPL service is a layer 2 service delivered to each site on local fiber optic loops routing traffic to Fibrenoire’s IP MPLS Internet backbone. Depending on the location of the sites to be connected and the availability of fiber optic capacity, Fibrenoire uses different local loop technologies. Our clients can fully control their activities on the layer 3 (IP addresses, BGP, OSPF or any other routing protocol). They can also control the type of traffic they send/receive on the circuit, allowing them to prioritize different types of traffic without Fibrenoire’s intervention.

SLA

A proactive Service Level Agreement including our standard SLAs on the local loops and the IP MPLS Internet backbone.

Billing

Package or pricing per access or per use (in Mbps or GB). Billing in Mbps is based on the 95^thpercentile billing method.
